Okay old fashioned resort. Spacious rooms. Staff are very friendly. Hardware are quite outdated, especially the elevators, the doors of which started closing before we all got on and wouldn't stop despite our effort to hold them by force. Walls didn't do much to keep noises out.
Rooms are nice and clean. The pool is very large and great for families. We really enjoyed the water park and was main reason fpr our stay. Lastly my kids also enjoyed the arcades and game rooms offered.
A great place for families lots to do. I love the large spa tub in the pool area. I loved the stromboli from the Pizzeria & Deli in the Food Court, I want some more!
Scenery and atmosphere were amazing, loved the outdoorsy feel of the cabins. However, a lot of the amenities weren’t as advertised on the site. For example, the resort fee was advertised on the website as covering all activities excluding bowling, hair salon, massage parlor, arcade, and water park, but the amenities that the resort fee did include like archery, mini golf, and biking were “not open” during November. We were told that the activities were weather contingent but the weather outside was very nice. If you expect to get any use out of the free WiFi don’t stay in the cabins. The telephone that was in our cabin wasn’t in working condition. And the front desk staff tell you two different things depending on who you get. Logs for the fireplace in the cabin are not complimentary. Too many hidden fees that just aren’t worth it.
I have stayed here a few times over the last few yrs. It's always been clean and a nice experience. The employees are nice and helpful. The furnishings and decor are dated but everything is clean. The appliances are dated but clean as well. The tv's are flat screen which have been upgraded over the last two yrs. They offer a wide array of family activities throughout the day. The food is good as well. If you a looking for the most modern decor and furnishings and that is most important on your list you will be disappointed. However, if you are looking for somewhere to create great memories this is your place.
